

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Ruben Delgado Tapia, who entered into eternal rest on June 8, 2026, at the age of 65.
Ruben was born on February 27, 1961, in Coquimatlan, Colima, Mexico, and passed away in Chowchilla, California. He lived a life defined by hard work, faith, honesty, and unwavering love for his family.
Born to Jose Luis Delgado Jimenez and Ofelia Tapia Velasco, who both proceeded him in death. Ruben was a man of strong values, kindness, and integrity. On April 3, 1982, he married the love of his life, Maria Elena Cabellos de Delgado, in the Catholic Church. Together they shared mor than 44 years of marriage and built a beautiful family centered on faith and love.
Ruben was a dedicated truck driver for Coelho Custom Chopping, a profession he truly loved and took great pride in. He was known for his strong work ethic and his willingness to help others whenever they were in need.
To those who knew him, Ruben was truly the life of the party. He had a remarkable sense of humor, always cracking jokes and bringing smiles to everyone around him. He was known for giving the best advice, for his honesty, and for his generous heart. Above all else, he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who worked tirelessly and sacrificed greatly to provide for all care for his family.
His love and support touched countless lives, and his memory will forever be cherished by all who knew him.
Ruben is lovingly survived by his wife Maria Elena Cabellos de Delgado; his son, Ruben Omar Delgado and wife, Kristina, his son Fernando Delgado and wife Leticia, and his daughter Maria Guadalupe Delgado and husband Jason. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Lizette, Jaslyne, Liliana, Mila, Jayden, Karia, and Penelope, who brought immense joy to his life.
Though his absence leaves an immeasurable void, we find comfort in the memories he created the laughter he shared, and the love he gave so freely. His legacy of faith, kindness, integrity, hard work, and devotion to the family will continue to live on in all who were blessed to know him.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude for the prayers, love, and support received during this difficult time.

A Visitation and Rosary Service will be held on Monday, June 15, 2026 from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. with Rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Palm Memorial Worden Chapel, 140 South 6th Street, Chowchilla, California.
Mass Service will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at 10:00 a.m., at St. Columba Catholic Church, 213 Orange Avenue, Chowchilla, California.
Graveside to follow Mass Service at Chowchilla District Cemetery, 23329 Road 14 1/2, Chowchilla, California.

Con profunda tristeza, anunciamos el fallecimiento de Rubén Delgado Tapia, quien partió al descanso eterno el 8 de junio de 2026, a la edad de 65 años.
Rubén nació el 27 de febrero de 1961 en Coquimatlán, Colima, México, y falleció en Chowchilla, California. Su vida estuvo marcada por el trabajo arduo, la fe, la honestidad y un amor inquebrantable por su familia.
Hijo de José Luis Delgado Jiménez y Ofelia Tapia Velasco, quienes lo precedieron en la muerte. Rubén fue un hombre de sólidos valores, bondad e integridad. El 3 de abril de 1982, contrajo matrimonio con el amor de su vida, María Elena Cabellos de Delgado, en la Iglesia Católica. Juntos compartieron más de 44 años de matrimonio y construyeron una hermosa familia basada en la fe y el amor.
Rubén era un dedicado camionero de Coelho Custom Chopping, una profesión que amaba profundamente y de la que se sentía muy orgulloso. Era conocido por su gran ética de trabajo y su disposición a ayudar a los demás cuando lo necesitaban.
Para quienes lo conocieron, Rubén era el alma de la fiesta. Tenía un gran sentido del humor, siempre contando chistes y alegrando a todos a su alrededor. Era conocido por dar los mejores consejos, por su honestidad y por su generosidad. Sobre todo, era un esposo, padre y abuelo devoto que trabajó incansablemente y se sacrificó enormemente para brindar todo lo necesario a su familia.
Su amor y apoyo impactaron innumerables vidas, y su recuerdo será atesorado por siempre por todos los que lo conocieron.
A Rubén le sobreviven con cariño su esposa, María Elena Cabellos de Delgado; su hijo, Rubén Omar Delgado y su esposa, Kristina; su hijo Fernando Delgado y su esposa, Leticia; y su hija, María Guadalupe Delgado y su esposo, Jason. También deja atrás a sus amados nietos, Lizette, Jaslyne, Liliana, Mila, Jayden, Karia y Penelope, quienes llenaron su vida de inmensa alegría.
Aunque su ausencia deja un vacío inmenso, encontramos consuelo en los recuerdos que creó, en las risas que compartió y en el amor que brindó con tanta generosidad. Su legado de fe, bondad, integridad, dedicación y entrega a la familia perdurará en todos aquellos que tuvieron la dicha de conocerlo.
