Our beloved Taco as so many knew her by was born in Indio, California in 1962 to her parents Jessie Hernandez and Josie Garza, until they moved to Chowchilla and she became a mighty Redskin for life.
Taco was an athlete throughout most of her life, that included many accolades in Tennis, Volleyball, Softball, Basketball, and her passion for running was in Track where she broke the Chowchilla High School Record.
Taco worked by cooking meals for the sick and elderly at the local convalescent hospital. She enjoyed talking with and brightening the days of so many people for over 29 years.
She was a member of the St. Columba Catholic Church in Chowchilla.
Taco was a well known member of the community and touched so many lives throughout her own life. A smile, a wave or just a few kind words made her the person that we all know and love.
Taco is preceded in death by her husband Matthew Valizan.
She is survived by her mother Josie Garza, brothers Raymond and Rickey Garza, one niece and two nephews, as well as many other family and friends.
A visitation service will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2023 from 4:00-8:00 at Palm Memorial Worden Chapel, 140 South 6th Street, Chowchilla. Rosary will be held at 6:00 pm during the visitation service.
Mass Service will be held on Friday, March 17, 2023 at 10:00 am at St. Columba Catholic Church 213 Orange Street, Chowchilla.
A reception will follow at the Holiday Inn Express
