Willard was born on November 21, 1931, to his mother, Lena Fayne and his father, Arthur Leander Patrick. He attended North Bend High School in Oregon and earned his letter in sports. After high school, Willard joined the United States Air Force, and while stationed in California, he met the love of his life and married Mattie Marie to which they spend the next 73 years happily married embarking on a long and beautiful life together.
Together they made countless lifelong friends everywhere they went, all the while raising four children together and Marie traveled to where he was stationed both in the United States and abroad.
Upon retiring, Willard and Marie spent time traveling with family and friends. Williard was an activie and caring man who spent most of his life helping and thinking about others.
Willard surrounded himself with friends and family, which is where he felt most comfortable and loved.
Willard was preceded in death by his wife Mattie, which passed away last May. He is survived by his children, Jim Patrick and wife Michelle, Dale Patrick, Janice Parsons and husband Joe, Don Patrick and wife Michele, many grandchildren, and great grand-children.
A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held at the Chowchilla District Cemetery, 23359 Rd 14 1/2, Chowchilla, California, on July 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.
