William T. Boyett

March 13, 1939April 9, 2019

William “Bill” Boyett, age 80, died Tuesday, April 9 2019 following a brief illness.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Gail, and two daughters, Lynn Susanne and Cheryl Lee Boyett. He leaves behind daughters Debbie Mart, Becky Ross and Amanda Llewellyn, 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Bill was born in Keota, Oklahoma, one of 10 children born to Theodore and Edna Boyett. The family moved to the Dairyland area in the 1940’s. The family were hard-working farmers that followed the crops as far north as Washington state. After a stint with the U.S. Army, he became a life-long truck driver.

In 1964, he met Gail on a blind date and they were married shortly thereafter. He was an avid gardener and fisherman, but his greatest joy in life was his many grand- and great-grandchildren.

He will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife on April 11 at the Chowchilla Cemetery.

I got to know Bill through having coffee every morning at Pioneer Market. I always teased him that he needed to stop talking so much (he never said a word). He was always kind and I enjoyed spending time with him there. He will be greatly missed.
