James (Jim) William Chasteen, age 81, of Stoutsville, Ohio passed away on Monday, February 5, 2024. He was born on March 3, 1942 to the late William and Della (McGee) Chasteen in New Plymouth, Ohio. He was a 1961 graduate of Millersburg Military Institute, Kentucky. He retired from R & L Carriers after 38 years. He loved his dog Jada and horses, being outside, mowing horse pastures, and football.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by sisters, Barbara Anzelmo and Esther Chasteen.
Jim is survived by his wife of 30 years, Betsy Hoffman; sons Brett, BJ (Maureen) Chasteen; daughter Deidre Chasteen; 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and many other friends and family.
