

Betty “Jane” Winfough, 97 of Circleville, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, July 8th, 2026, at Fairhope Hospice & Palliative Care in Lancaster, Ohio. Born July 10, 1928, to Clarence and Lois Hancher of Pickaway County. Jane was preceded in death by her parents, brother; Clarence “Buck” (Eleanor) Hancher Jr., Sisters; Mildred (Jim) Stauffer and Jean (Dale) Schiff, and husband of 65 years Gerald “Jerry” Winfough, Brother and Sister-in-laws James and Dorothy Dunton of Falls Church, VA and Harry and Ann Winfough of Gold Canyon, AZ, two nieces; Pamela (Dick) Hedges and Natalie Hancher and her best friend Jeanie Crider.
Jane was married to Gerald Winfough on May 8, 1947. She is survived by her daughter Vicki Jo (Donald) Hamilton, grandchildren; Teresa (Briley) Patterson, Jennifer (Steve Walters) Hamilton and Chad (Dawnette) Hamilton all of Circleville. Great grandchildren; Presley (Codi) Burley, Makenna Hamilton, Olivia Patterson (Kenyon Davis), Savannah Patterson (Nate Sanders), Aiden (Leah) Hamilton, Noah Hamilton, Dalani Johnston and Timothy Miles Hamilton. Great-great-grandchildren; Tucker Jay and Murphy Jo Burley. Nephews; Mike (Bonnie) Schiff and David (Lisa) Schiff, Great Nieces; Laura Hedges and Christa (Jason) Sparks.
Betty was a member of the Community UMC for 54 years. She joined Good Shepherd in 2008; she was a member for 18 years. She was a past District Deputy Grand Chief Pythian Sisters 516 and also a lifetime member.
Betty loved working with flowers, camping, making baked goods and traveling to Amish Country. She loved all her many dogs with a passion.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 13, 2026, from 9am until 12 pm at Defenbaugh Wise Schoedinger 151 E. Main St. where her service will begin at 12 noon. Interment will take place at Hitler Ludwig Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St. Judes Hospital, Good Shepherd UM Church or Living by Faith Church.
