John was born on December 15, 1949 in Circleville, Ohio to the late Carroll and Margaret Cook. He graduated from Westfall High School, Class of 1968. After graduation, he established Cook’s TV and Appliance. He received his Associates of Science from Ohio University. He started farming in 1973.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his brothers, Carroll Cook, Jr. and Daniel Cook.
John is survived by his wife, Judy; his children, Jamie (Jeremy) Schaal, Holly (Matthew) Slusher, and John R. Cook; his grandchildren, Joshua, Madison Emily, Jude, and Lily; and many relatives and friends.
John loved family, friends, farming, learning, cooking, baking, woodworking, fishing, and entomology.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
