Born on December 12, 1943, in Chillicothe, Ohio, Linda was the daughter of the late Merle and Orlena Miller. She graduated from Centralia High School in 1962 and shortly afterward married Thomas Lowery. During Thomas's service in the U.S. Army, they were stationed in Germany before returning home to Ohio.
Linda worked at the GE Plant before beginning a long career as a cook at Circleville Middle School, where she eventually retired. Through the years, she touched the lives of countless students and was known as a caring presence to generations of children.
Linda loved playing cards, especially euchre, and enjoyed bowling in her younger years. She also loved traveling, spending time at her trailer at Lake White, visiting Colorado and the beach, and making cross-country memories in a motorhome with her daughter Kim and family. She was a devoted Ohio State football fan who faithfully cheered on the Buckeyes every Saturday. Above all, Linda treasured her role as "Mimi" to her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Linda was preceded in death by her sister, Bonnie (Ed) Evans, and her nephew, Greg Evans.
She is survived by her son, Tom Lowery; her daughter, Kim (Randy) Holland; her grandchildren, Zackary Lowery, Leslie, Brittaney, and Jacob Holland, and Duncan and Aaron Lowery; her great-grandchildren; many friends, nieces, extended family members; and all of her beloved grandpuppies.
