Lucy is preceded in death by her husband, J. Wendell Lovett; Daughter, Palma J. Burris; Son in Law, William R. Burris; Brothers James “Frog” Stack and William B. Stack.
She was the longtime owner of Lucy’s Beauty Salon, and closed the shop after 40 years in business. Her salon was always a hub of activity, especially during Pumpkin Show. Even after closing her salon, she continued working down the street at Bella Zari until she fully retired in 2013. Then she moved onto a new job, babysitting her Great Granddaughter.
Lucy enjoyed many things over the years, like fishing, camping, bluegrass music, bowling and traveling with her husband. They traveled many places together and made an annual trip to Florida during Spring Training for the Cincinnati Reds.
She is survived by her Daughter, Sandy S. Altizer; Grand-Daughter, Erin (Mark) Barthelmas; Great Grand-Daughter Kathryn Barthelmas; Sister Anne Lambert, and many Nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 from 4pm until 7pm at Defenbaugh Wise Schoedinger, 151 E. Main St, Circleville; and again from 12pm until 1pm Wednesday, with the funeral service immediately following. Interment to occur at Maple Hill Cemetery, Stoutsville.
