Palmer (Buddy) L. Maynard, age 84, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2024. He was born on June 4, 1939 to his parents Russell & Ollie Maynard in Lovely, Kentucky. He was married to his best friend Dolinda Rae Maynard in Pineville, West Virginia on October 20, 1962 and they enjoyed nearly 58 years of a wonderful marriage. He was a welder/inspector for 50+ years until retiring at age 79. Buddy was an avid bowler (including 17-300s and 6-800s) and enjoyed watching the Dodgers and Dallas.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife. Left to mourn his passing are his daughters Sherry Maynard (Mickel Nolen), Sheila Morgan (Tim) and “The Squirt” Brenda Burggraf, his granddaughter Chelsea (Bud) Scott; his grandson Cameron (Jodi) Burggraf and several great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Shawnee Lanes, located at 1680 N. Bridge St, Chillicothe Ohio on Saturday March 2, 2024 from 2pm-5pm. Arrangements have been entrusted to Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger, memorial contributions and or flowers can be made to the funeral home.
