Robert Oren Peters

He was born on May 3, 1938 in Chillicothe, Ohio to the late Everett and Mary (Graham) Peters. Bob graduated Chillicothe High School, class of 1957. After high school, he enlisted in the Army Reserve and then served active duty until 1963 including being stationed in Germany. Bob worked at Chef Supply and Circleville Oil until his retirement.

Bob was married to the love of his life, Sharon Cottrill, in 1965. They raised 3 sons together. Bob loved old Western movies and was a huge Buckeye fan. His favorite pastime was watching golf, and he could give you all the stats.

In addition to his parents, Bob is preceded in death by his wife, Sharon and his son, Matthew, along with 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

Bob is survived by his sons, Christopher (Alma) Peters and William (Kim) Peters, his daughter-in-law, Terra Peters, 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and his sister, Karen Hummel.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Logan Elm Health Care Center for the compassionate care he received.

Visitation will be at Defenbaugh Wise Schoedinger, located at 151 E Main St, Circleville, on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm and Thursday, February 6, 2025 from 10:00am to 11:00am. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:00am. Bob will be laid to rest at Forest Cemetery with Military Honors.
