Shirley lived a life rooted in faith, love, and service. She enjoyed time and traveling with family, car shows, working on the General Electric Pumpkin Show float, gardening, shopping and going to car races with family. Shirley was a 50-plus year member of Emmett Chapel Church. She retired from General Electric after 38 years of service.
Her life was a beautiful example of dedication, kindness, and putting others before herself. Her smile could light up a room, but her heart reflected the love of Jesus. She will be remembered as the rock of her family, whose love, strength, and unwavering faith touched the lives of those around her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings (Edward, Eugene, Arthur, and Dorothy), first husband and father of her children, Daniel Damron and second husband, Howard (June) Reeser.
She leaves behind her daughters: Rhonda Damron Romine, Katrina (Jerry) Hemming and stepson, John (Jackie) Reeser; grandchildren Cortney (Michael) Hemming-Reed, Daniel Hemming and Taylor (Seth) Romine-VanGundy, five great grandchildren, special friends: Pat, Marge and Ruth; and many other loved ones.
Per her request, there will be a graveside service for immediate family.
Special thank you to the ICU staff at Berger Hospital and OSU Home Health Care members
