Sue C Roan

She was born April 15,1937 in Coshocton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Arthur W. and Betty (Sees) Jones. She was a graduate of Coshocton High School. She was a member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, Circleville where she served on many committees as well as past President of United Methodist Women. Sue worked for over 23 years at the Board of Elections until her retirement as Director. She volunteered for the Pickaway County Food Pantry, Historical Society, Democratic Central Committee, Easter Seals and Hands for the Disabled. She was a member of Berger Hospital Guild. Sue’s greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed reading and her flower garden.

In addition to her parents, Sue is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Roan; her brother, Tom Jones; and her sister, Linda Jones.

Sue is survived by her daughter Cheri Roan; her sons, Kevin (Christine) Roan and David (Tracy) Roan; her grandchildren, Ashley (Jarrid) Daily, Amber (Lance) Boyer, Devon (Derek) Schmid and Graham (Chelsea) Roan; her great-grandchildren, Tennyson and Takoda Boyer, Dawson and Drew Schmid, Lachlan and Collins Roan; her sister, Judy (Dan) Graham; sister-in-law, Carole (Sonny) Anderson; brother-in-law, Danny Roan; and best friend, Martha Jo Meadows.

Family will accept friends on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 from 11:00am to 12:00pm at Defenbaugh Wise Schoedinger, 151 E. Main St, Circleville. A Graveside Service will follow at Forest Cemetery, Circleville, with Reverend Sujin Kim officiating. Sue will be laid to rest next to her husband.
