Teresa Ann Moran

Born on July 15, 1960, to the late Richard Locke Sr. and Billie (Hutchinson) Locke. Teresa will be remembered with deep respect and enduring affection by all who knew and loved her. Beloved by many, she was a precious presence in the lives of those closest to her, and her absence will be felt profoundly.

Teresa will be remembered for the warmth she gave, the consideration she showed, and the love she so freely expressed. Her life remains a lasting gift to all who were blessed to share in it. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brother, Richard Locke, Jr. Teresa is survived by her 4 children, Thomas “T.J.” Anderson Jr., Cindy Anderson, Perlina (Matthew) Dupler-Bensonhaver, and David Moran; her 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Lisa Locke, Elizabeth “Libby” Locke, and Timothy Locke; her significant other of 22 years, Williard “Deno” Adams; and many other relatives and friends.

She was kind, caring, and full of spunk. She loved people and genuinely enjoyed connecting with others. Whether speaking with family, friends, or someone she had just met, she had a way of making people feel welcome and valued. Her laughter was so precious and made others laugh as well. She had a light in her eyes like a child on Christmas morning every time she received any type of gift or surprise. She worshipped with joy and sincerity, often with her hands raised high in praise. Those who knew her can easily picture her smile, laughter and the way she could be found, especially during her last days celebrating God's goodness and grace. She was known to shake her hips to any good rhythm and sing above the music with her whole heart. Teresas life included many challenges. There were difficult seasons and hardships along her journey. Yet her story cannot and will not be defined by those struggles. Much stronger than she always believed she was, and giving one of the greatest gifts she leaves behind is the reminder that grace matters. Life is not measured by perfection. It is measured by love, by faith, by forgiveness, and by the impact we have on the lives of others. Her family is grateful for the moments they shared with her, for the lessons she taught them, and for the love that remained throughout her life. Teresa carried a bright sense of humor, and she enjoyed watching comedy movies—finding comfort in laughter and sharing it freely. She had an eye for pretty things, loved jewelry and bright colors, especially pink and purple. She took delight in perfume, and lotion, vanilla scents being her favorite— these were her cherished “smelly goods,” as she fondly called them.

While there is great sadness in saying goodbye, there is also gratitude. Gratitude for her life. Gratitude for her faith and salvation through Jesus Christ. Gratitude for the memories she leaves behind for us to cherish until we see her again.

A Private Family Moment has been scheduled for a later date. Teresa will be laid to rest In Lithopolis Cemetery.
