Charles A. Towns

Charles was born May 25, 1941 at Cisne, IL to Lowell A. and G. Clarice (Ray) Towns. He married Janet Borah July 16, 1966 at Fairfield, IL and she survives.

Charles was a Communication Lineman for Wabash Telephone COOP and a farmer. He was a Cardinal Baseball fan, enjoyed walking, playing with his dogs, and woodworking.

He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and a member of Cisne Christian Church, Anthony Doherty Lodge #1111, and Cisne American Legion.

Charles is survived by his wife Janet Towns of Cisne, IL; four daughters Marlyn (Butch) Altom of Centralia, IL; Carolyn (Russell) Mitchell of Fairfield, IL; Sherry Towns of Chatham, IL and Terry (Aric) Mills of Cisne, IL; one sister Carolyn (Sterling) Johnson of Springfield, IL; three grandchildren Lucretia Mills, Cassidy Mitchell, and River Altom.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Funeral services for Charles Towns will be 11AM Monday at Hosselton Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cisne Cemetery with military rites at the cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday 6-8PM at the funeral home.

Memorials may be given to Alzheimer’s Association and will be accepted at the funeral home.
