Chester Chet Alvin Speagle

Chet was born on June 28, 1942 to Chester and Leota (Moats) Speagle in Flora, Illinois. He married Lois Barnes on December 31, 1964 and she survives.

Chet was a millwright at General Motors, retiring in 1993. He was a member of the Pleasure Riders Motorcycle Club, and had been a volunteer at the Tilton Fire Department for 15 years.

Survivors include his spouse, Lois; three daughters, Cynthia Thomas of San Antonio, Texas, Michelle King of New York, New York, Susan Speagle of Burlington, Vermont; two sons, Randy Lee (Carla Jane) Speagle of Rinard, IL, Timothy Aaron Speagle of Westville, IL; four sisters, Luella (Edward) Schweitzer of Cicero, IL., Patricia Steffens of Mattoon, IL, Paulette (Mike) Livergood of Monticello, IL, Debra (Scott) Doty of Sullivan, IL; 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial graveside service will be held 11:30am Friday, December 22, 2017, at Russell Cemetery. Cremation has already taken place.
