David A. Dye

He was born October 9, 1936 at Buggarville, IL to Bill and Edith (Smith) Dye. He married Anna Pearl Allison, October 1, 1955 at Johnsonville and she preceded him in death October 5, 2011.

He was a retired oil field worker and currently road commissioner for Massilon Township. He was a member of the VFW at Fairfield.

He is survived by a daughter Sheila Ann (Roger) Sommers of Chenoa, IL; two sons, Rick of Mt. Erie, and William of Jacksonville, IL; three sisters, Edith (Joe) Rankin of Danville, IN, Sarah Gould of Pontiac, IL, and Judy Sykes; a brother-in-law, John Allison III (Glenda) of Mt. Erie; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Preceding him in death were his wife Anna Pearl, daughter-in-law Sue, one brother, Ed, three sisters, Dorothy, Wanda, and Ruth, and his parents.

Graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at McKendree Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Family and friends are asked to go directly to the cemetery.

Memorials may be given to the donor’s choice and will be accepted at the Hosselton Funeral Home.
