David was born July 13, 1942 in St. Louis, Mo to Glennis and Dorothy Marvel. He was a Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years Sonya Marvel, of Brandon, FL; three sons, David, Robert (Cindy), and Vance (Tina); a daughter Gina, and a brother Larry (Margie). Six grandchildren also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Glenn, grandson Christian, and step-son John.
A graveside service will be held at Brown Cemetery near Mt. Erie, IL at 2PM on Tuesday, September 23, 2014.
