James E. Seymore

James was born October 4, 1936 in Bristol, Virginia to William and Jesse (Parvin) Seymore. He married Dorothy Whipple in 1956 at Rochelle, Illinois. She preceded him in death February 6, 2014.

James enjoyed fishing, watching westerns and Cardinal baseball games, and playing cards.

James is survived by four daughters Rachel (Rocky) Whipple, Kathy Nixon, and Phyllis (Troy) Helm all of Cisne, Illinois and Betty Fry of Granite City, Illinois; four sons Terry (Karen) Whipple of Naperville, Illinois, Edward (Lela) Seymore of Bluford, Illinois, Timmy Seymore of Cisne, Illinois and Kenny Seymore of Cisne, Illinois; one sister Anna ‘Snookie’ Gunzalez and one brother Bill Seymore. Seventeen grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren also survive.

Preceding him in death were his parents, wife Dorothy, son Robert Seymore, sisters Ruby Burroughs and Evelyn Dodson.

A memorial service will be 6:00pm Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at Hosselton Funeral Home
