June Maxine Shreve

June was born July 24, 1927 at Keenes, IL to Ira and Clarinda K. (Shook) Bruce. She married Orval G. Shreve August 8, 1946 at Mt. Vernon, IL and he preceded her in death April 2, 2005.

June retired from the International Shoe Company at Flora, IL and also worked at the Garment Factory in Wayne City, IL and the restaurant in Johnsonville, IL. She was a five year volunteer at Grandma’s Pantry in Orchardville, IL and a member of the First Christian Church in Wayne City, IL.

June is survived by one daughter Debra Shreve of Cisne, IL and one son Donnie G. Shreve of Johnsonville, IL. Also surviving is Chad Shreve, a grandchild whom she raised and six other grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and special friends Cody Donoho and Terri Hacker both of Johnsonville, IL.

Preceding her in death were her husband, son Ronnie, four sisters, three brothers, and her parents.

Funeral services for June Shreve will be 10AM Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at Hosselton Funeral Home. Burial will be at Salem-Matter Cemetery near Wayne City. Visitation will be 5-7PM Monday at the funeral home.
