Kenneth E. Dickey

Kenneth was born May 3, 1926 in Belvidere County in northern Illinois to Earl and Stella (Austin) Dickey. He married Catherine Felix April 2, 1949 at Cisne, IL. They recently celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary.

He was a Flora businessman and Phillips 66 jobber for 50 years. Kenneth was a post WWII veteran having served in the Air Force. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Flora, IL and the Flora Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Catherine of Flora, IL; one daughter Kathy Coyle (& her husband Daniel) of Lacon, IL; two sons Michael Dickey of Titusville, FL and Bruce Dickey (& his wife Robbin) of Flora, IL; seven grandchildren Kerri Jo Malechuk, Ryan Dickey and J. D. Dickey all of Titusville, FL; Katie Horton (& her husband Brian) of Washington, IL; Emily Coyle of Seattle, WA; Sara Kasper (& her husband Tom) of St. Peters, MO; and Colin Dickey (& his wife Larissa) of Chicago, IL. Also surviving are 14 great grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents, one brother Donald, one sister Arlene Sweeney, one infant sister Mary and one daughter-in-law Karen Dickey.

Funeral services for Kenneth E. Dickey will be 10:30AM Monday, May 23, 2011 at Hosselton Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cisne Cemetery. Friends may call 5-8PM Sunday, May 22, 2011. A Masonic service will be at 7:30PM Sunday.

Memorials in memory of Kenneth Dickey may be given to Flora First Christian Church or Flora Volunteer Fire Department and will be accepted at Hosselton Funeral Home.
