Leona G. Shelton

Leona was born June 5, 1912 at Mt. Erie, IL to DeKalb and Mary (Arnold) Madding. She married Bryan F. Shelton June 28, 1965 at Kinmundy, IL. He preceded her in death April 21, 2002.

Leona loved to quilt and attended Oak Valley General Baptist Church at Geff, IL. She served 50 years as an LPN.

Leona is survived by two grandsons Bradley Thouvenin of Dana, IL and Bryan Jason Thouvenin (& his wife Stephanie) of Morris, IL; two great grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law Luella Fitch and Loreta Shelton both of Cisne, IL. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Leona G. Shelton will be 11AM Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at Hosselton Funeral Home. Burial will be in McKendree Cemetery near Mt. Erie, IL. Visitation will be 5-8PM Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials in memory of Leona Shelton may be given to the donor’s choice and will be accepted at Hosselton Funeral Home.
