Margaret V. Yates

Margaret was born April 21, 1912 at Rinard, IL to James P. and Emma Sue (Ray) Mugrage. She married Berl E. ‘Shorty’ Yates October 8, 1938 at Henderson, KY. He preceded her in death January 27, 2003.

Margaret was a homemaker and member of the United Methodist Church at Rinard, IL and a member of the Wabash Valley Wanderers Camping Club. She enjoyed gardening, was a seamstress, a member of the Rinard Band and an avid bingo enthusiast.

Margaret is survived by a daughter Joyce (Harold) Keepes of Olney, IL; one sister Ovella Stivers of Olney, IL; two grandsons Bill (Diana) Corry of Dundas, IL and Steve Mary) Corry of Olney, IL; five great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, two brothers Elmo and JP Mugrage, and one granddaughter Kathy Corry.

A graveside service will be 10AM, next Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Bunker Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Everyone attending the service is asked to go directly to the cemetery.

Memorials may be given to Keith Township Cemetery Fund and will be accepted at Hosselton Funeral Home.
