Wendell L. Smith

Wendell was born June 29, 1946 at Springerton, IL to Wilfred and Edna (Staley) Smith. He married Diana Enlow February 15, 1998 at Brown Presbyterian Church.

He was a farmer and enjoyed horses and horseback riding, auctions, and sales.

Wendell is survived by his wife Diana of Cisne, IL; one daughter Tonya Smith (& her fiancé Tommy) of Springerton, IL; two step daughters Kristen Peto (and her husband John) of Lake In the Hills, IL; and Michelle Lenz (& her husband Gary) of Elburn, IL; one son Scott Smith of Springerton, IL; one sister Janice Winter (& her husband Richard) of Burnt Prairie, IL. Also surviving are four grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother Darrell.

Funeral services for Wendell Smith will be 10:30AM Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Hosselton Funeral Home. Burial will be at Brown Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8PM Friday March 1st at the funeral home.

Memorials may be given to Diabetes Association or Fur a Good Paws and will be accepted at Hosselton Funeral Home.
