Dear Tony and Laura,
Maybe you do not remember me after so many years, but I kept the best memories of your tight knit family.  I used to admire Laura, such a wonderful and caring mother to Alessandra and Loredana.  I still have memories of Alessandra coming to the office with Laura.  

I have been so shocked to learn of Alessandra's passing away.   I am so shocked that this beautiful child is no longer with us.  And I have been crying for her and for the days long ago when as a child she used to come to the office.  My heartbroken and heartfelt condolences for your loss.  There are no words that could describe this, but know that she will live in the memories of the people who knew her, albeit fleetingly, like me.

My sincere sympathy in the loss of your dear wife and mother. We had worked for the same employer at one time. I truly enjoyed her sense of humor, and wonderful smile. My husband, Jim, was ill with AML, and passed away in September. I understand how this can be a difficult time for the family. I hope the help of our Lord, Jesus Christ, and grief counseling will ease your pain and sorrow.

Thoughts and prayers to Fusaro and Licchi families. I worked with Alessandra for a brief period of time. I too remember her beautiful smile. She seemed to have a sense of serenity bringing a calmness and peace when she entered a room. She was a good counselor not just in substance abuse but also as a family therapist. Sometimes she brought her children to visit. Her little boy sweet and well behaved, the baby content to sleep through the visit. My sincere condolences to her family during this time.

To the Fusaro family - I had the honor of employing Alessandra at the ATC (a first class inpatient addictions treatment hospital) years ago and was able to see her grow as a professional over the years.  She left us to work elsewhere, but returned to work with us again under a new company - UNC Health Care/School of Medicine with an even deeper appreciation for those whom she served.  I want you to know that Alessandra will always hold a positive space in my heart and those whom she worked with providing dual diagnosis addictions treatment.  I have spoken to quite a few clinicians who have worked with her and their responses began with shock to sincere appreciation of having worked along side of Alessandra. How can we cope with bereavement? Perhaps an illustration will be helpful. The White family could not help but notice the storm that appeared shortly after Sandra's passing as it represented to us the tears we all shed for losing such a selfless, caring, and positive person. We also recognized and appreciated the beautiful weather that appeared in the ensuing days as it represented Sandra's ascension to Heaven and the joy and positivity that she radiates wherever she goes.  We are better people for having Sandra, Carl, Luke, and Michael as neighbors and friends and we intend to continue her legacy by being more like her â€“ loving a little more, caring a little more, smiling a little more, giving a little more, and appreciating each other a little more. Alessandra and her family have been in my prayers since I heard this very sad news.  I worked with her at ATC and there was never a more joyful person than Alesandra, who never failed to bring a smile to my face.

Condolences to the family. I personally have never met Alessandra or Carl, but my heart weighs heavy and I send prayers. My thoughts are with you all and especially Luke as I spent time with him as a substitute teacher. We are all there for you.

Our thoughts are with Carl, Luke and Michael at this sad time. When Asher heard the news of Sandra's passing he was reminded of the fun time he had sliding down the stairs in sleeping bags with Luke at the Fusaro house. "She was a super fun mom," Asher said. Sandra was kind and generous to all who knew her--adult and child alike. She always made everyone feel included. My family and I are so very sorry for your loss.

I am so very sorry to hear this sad news. Alessandra's positive and vivacious approach to life was amazing. As a member of one of my Battelle research teams, Alessandra was always ready with a smile and encouragement for other members of the team and, exhibited respect and thoughtfulness when working with our participants. My thoughts are with her family and children.

Alessandra (Sandra to me) always stopped and talked to me in the morning when dropping off Michael - asked me how I was doing - she was just a good & kind person. I only got to know her for 4 years as Michael & Laurel went to daycare together but I will miss her happy smile and spirit. I will miss our mom's nights out too - she was always so happy and full of life.
