Ann was a lifetime member of Oakland Presbyterian Church which is located in the Cleveland community, and she served Oakland in different capacities: she was honored with a membership in the Presbyterian Women of Oakland, and she was a member of “The Upper Room” Adult Sunday School Class. She enjoyed baking and her caramel cake was always a favorite during Oakland’s Homecoming meals.
After graduating from Cleveland High School, Ann attended Hardbarger’s Business School in Raleigh. Soon after, Ann was hired by Carolina Power & Light Company (CP&L) in the Lands Section. While at CP&L, Ann was part of the team acquiring property for the Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant in New Hill, N.C., and the Brunswick Nuclear Plant in Southport, N.C. Ann retired from CP&L after 30 years of service. Ann loved warm weather and enjoying her swimming pool. An avid gardner, she also loved plants and flowers.
Preceding Ann in death was her husband of 63 years, Stenson Duke Lee; her parents, Dewitt Talton and Hattie Jones Talton; brother, James Lewis Talton; and sister, Lelia Elizabeth Talton.
Ann is survived by a daughter, Jan Lee Langdon and husband, Robert Langdon, of Clayton; and a son, Stenson Duke Lee, Jr. and wife, Elaine Simmons Lee, of Benson. Other survivors include three grandchildren, Meagan Langdon Bulloch, and husband, Marty Bulloch of Benson; Robert Eugene Langdon III, and wife Bridgette Scholl Langdon of New York City; and Anna Lee Garcia, and husband, Colin Garcia of Clayton.
Ann also had six great-grandchildren, Ben Bulloch and Nate Bulloch; Henry Langdon, Thomas Langdon, and Matthew Langdon; and Hampton Garcia.
The family would also like to express a special thanks to all the caregivers that helped and cared for Ann in her later stages of life. Each of you was a true blessing.
