Mrs. Audrey and Mr. Vernon are both so special to us. When we started at MCBC in 1998, Mrs. Audrey not knowing if I was a Christian or not gave me a little book about "Salvation". I told her I would return it to her after I read it. She said no, please just pass it on and I did and I told the person I gave it to to pass it on and she did. Who knows how many folks read that precious book of salvation. I knew she and Mr. Vernon were Christian folks almost immediately as they really lead by example and the Lord's light shown through them. Both of them where always so giving, so humble, so kind and so sweet. They are a great example for us all! Their love for each other and for others was seen through their actions. Mrs, Audrey was someone to be looked up to and admired, just such a sweet, humble, precious lady she was! We will miss her!

We are praying for you Mr. Vernon and for her daughters and each one of her dear family. May God give you all peace and comfort.

Love y'all,
Joan and Curtis King

Mrs. Audrey was a sweet, caring and devoted Christian lady. She was a blessing to us as well as our church family. She was dedicated to serving the Lord. She was our church pianist for many years and also played at our wedding 46 years ago. She always had a smile and kind words to share. We count it an honor to have known Ms. Audrey and Vernon most of our lives. She will always hold a place in our hearts. Our thoughts and prayers are with Vernon and all the family.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Ms. Audrey was such an awesome lady and always so friendly and caring. She was one that always made you feel so welcome to Mt. Calvary when Walter and I started going there. Mr. Vernon and Ms. Audrey were such a sweet and loving couple and I loved going to their house. Ms. Audrey will surely be missed but definitely leaves some beautiful memories to be cherished! Love and prayers, Sandra Johnson

The family's loss is Heaven's gain. I will always remember Audry for her musical talents. When we first went to North Clayton Christian Church Audry was the pianist & later on she was also the Choir Director. God sure bestowed some musical talents on her. Her Mother was also talented....she probably taught her piano when she was a child. May Heaven hear some of that fine piano playing. Amen!
