Shiela, we've been friends since childhood. You always were & are still, a blessing to everyone who comes in contact with you. You & Bennie were soulmates. You were meant to be. He loved you so much, when he looked at you, his eyes lit up with love. I know your heart is broken, but you have such wonderful memories. Not everyone ends up with their soulmate, which makes you double blessed.
He wasn't alert last week when I visited, however I will always remember him smiling. I am sharing a photo taken a year ago while he was still up and about.
Thinking about you & praying for strength. You will be in my heart always.

Benny was a dear friend from back in the day.
I was just so glad that God had our roads cross again, many years later, when Earl & I moved to Clayton. Earl returned to Shotwell, in a different frame of mind! Well, we both did, for that matter. We met his sweet wife Shiela, and went to J2C2 together. Give Earl a BIG hug for me! ❤️
Shiela & I will be fine, until we join you angels!
Love You, Benny!

Dearest Sheila,
My heart, love and prayers go out to you. I know the pain in your heart, but joy awaits, and may God's grace and mercy be with you in the coming days. Benny had a gentle soul and was loved by many. His presence will be missed, but know that we shall all be reunited one day. May strength and comfort be bestowed upon you. I am but a call away if you need anything.

Date night with Benito! A cruise around town, then kickstands down at Chick Fil A..!

Along with the pain of losing such a wonderful man, we must find time to remember and celebrate his wonderful life that he shared with so many. Thank you Benny! We love you!

Shiela and Family,
Bennie is no longer in pain but celebrating upstairs with his parents, other family members and his friends. Bennie will be so missed, but we are elated he has been set free. We will always cherish the fond memories of a true southern gentleman, his wit, sweetness and charm. God rest his soul. Shiela, we are praying for you and your family. Also, Shiela, praying the Lord will grant you strength, peace, and contentment during this time of sorrow. Love and God’s Blessings

Benny Powell, I only had the honor of knowing you for 3 short years. I will miss that sweet smile when I walk in church on Sunday. I will miss standing beside you or behind part of the time singing "Sanctuary" with you. Go rest High On That Mountain until we meet again. R.I.P Benny!!!!!!!!!!!
