A native of Johnston County, Betty was born March 28, 1933 to the late William Rufus and Pearl Jernigan Stanley. She was a payroll supervisor for the NC State Prison Systems for 30 years. Betty was a graduate of Four Oaks High School, Class of 1951, and Hardbarger’s Business College.
Betty is survived by her sister, Peggy Cobb and husband, Gary, of Clayton; a nephew, Jerry P. Langdon, Jr.; nieces, Lynn Langdon Miedema and Lee Cobb McGee; and a stepson, Shane Raynor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Earl Dodd and George Raynor.

At Betty’s wishes, there will be no services. The family will celebrate her life at a later date.
