Billy Eugene Hill, beloved husband, brother and papa went to be with the Lord October 14, 2021 at Duke Hospice. He was born on November 13, 1944 in Raleigh, NC. Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Eugene Hill, Elsie Mae Lee Hill and his stepson, Donald V. McLean III.
Billy was in the carpet business for most of his working career and joined his wife in the real estate business in 1996 until his sickness. He loved sitting on the back porch watching the birds and enjoyed fishing, reading, golfing, collecting antiques, playing the banjo and fiddle, researching his family ancestry, and spending time with his family and friends. He spent endless hours waiting at the school bus stop with his grandchildren or taking and picking them up from school. He was very generous to his family and will truly be missed by all.
Billy is survived by his wife, Kathryn A. Hill; three step-children: Teresa McLean, Ellen Brantley (Tim) and Robert McLean; brother, Robert Hill (Beth); two sisters: Pat Carter (Pete) and Bonnie Howard (Donnie); eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held at McLaurin Funeral Home, 12830 US 70 Business W., Clayton, NC 27520 on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at 2:00 pm with the funeral service following at 3:00pm. Visitors are encouraged to wear face masks and practice social distancing.
