Mr. Bobby Gene Garris

Bobby Gene Garris, age 85, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at his residence. A graveside service will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens with Pastor David Sutphin officiating. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the graveside service. He was born in Greene County, North Carolina on June 29, 1937 to the late Floyd Garris and the late Eva Belle Parrish. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his wife, Tinnie Davis Garris in 2000; sisters Katherine Carter, Helen Eloise Taylor and brothers Floyd Garris, Jr, William Edgar Garris and Glen Garris. Bobby was a Veteran of the United States Army and retired from construction work. He enjoyed spending time with his Chihuahua Misty, wood-working, early morning biscuits and coffee at Bojangles, Friday lunches with his Landfill family, driving his golf-cart with Misty in the passenger seat and mowing his lawn on his John Deere riding mower.
