June 14, 1960 – July 20, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we share that our beloved husband, son, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, Brian Paul Quinn, left his earthly life and entered his heavenly home, surrounded by his devoted wife and children, on July 20, 2025. Born on June 14, 1960, in Austin, Minnesota, to the late Jerald and Darlene Quinn, Brian lived a life defined by his faith and devotion to his family, and a deep love and appreciation for the outdoors.
On October 10, 1981, Brian married the love of his life, JoDee Goodew. Their enduring marriage of nearly 44 years was a shining example of unwavering love and partnership. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with laughter, faith, and countless cherished memories.
Brian was a loving and proud father to his two sons and his love for his family knew no limits, and his role as “Papa” was one he held most dear. His grandchildren—Karsen, Aiden, Cooper, and Callie—were the lights of his life. They adored him and they also brought Brian immense joy.
Brian found peace and happiness in the outdoors, whether hunting, fishing, or simply enjoying nature. He shared this passion with his children and grandchildren, creating treasured moments and instilling in them a respect for the world around them.
In addition to his parents, Brian was preceded in death by his sister, Connie Dammen. He is survived by his wife JoDee; children, Zach Quinn and wife, Crystal, Eli Quinn and wife Amanda; and grandchildren; mother-in-law, Audrey Goodew; siblings, Patty Quinn Blaser (Dan), Kathy Quinn-Dolan (Brian), Mike Quinn (Linda), Sue Turner, and Bob Quinn (Sandra). He is also survived by his brothers-in-law, Jeff Goodew (Vicki), Jim Goodew (Susie), Jerry Goodew (Paula); and sister-in-law, Joleen Shellman (Dwight), as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Brian was the steady center of his family — a man who led with strength, compassion, and a heart full of love. To know him was to love him, and his legacy will live on through the love he gave and the lives that he touched.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, August 22, 2025, at McLaurin Funeral Home at 12830 Clayton Blvd in Clayton, North Carolina. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 1:00 PM, at McLaurin Funeral Home, prior to the service. To honor Brian’s love for the outdoors, the family is inviting anyone who desires to do so, to come in their favorite fishing shirt and crocs.
Though our hearts are broken, we take comfort in knowing that his love surrounds us still. His life was a blessing, his memory a treasure, and he will remain deeply loved and forever missed.
