

Bryant James Pekarthy, age 49, of Clayton, North Carolina, formerly of Port Jefferson Station, New York, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 19, 2024, at his residence, one day before his 50th birthday.
No formal services are planned for this time.
Bryant was born in Metairie, Louisiana on August 20, 1974, to Judith Dill Pekarthy and the late James Pekarthy.
He was a graduate of SUNY Institute of Technology with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Rachel Brisso Pekarthy; and sister Jennifer (Kelly) Pekarthy Derushia.
Bryant was a beloved husband, devoted friend, and a source of joy and light to all who knew him. He was known for his enormous charisma, and laughter. Bryant had a unique ability to brighten any room he walked into, bringing happiness and warmth to everyone around him.
He was a man of deep respect and generosity, always going above and beyond to make people feel cared for and valued. His natural inclination to give of himself made him a cherished friend and confidant to many. Whether it was a kind word, a thoughtful gesture, or a shoulder to lean on, Bryant was always there for those he loved.
He loved making people feel at home, no matter where they were. His welcoming spirit and genuine interest in others drew people to him, and he was happiest when surrounded by friends and family. Bryant was not only an exceptional and detailed oriented husband, but also a loyal and dependable friend, someone who could always be counted on to bring joy and light into any situation.
Bryant approached each day with a smile and an open heart, spreading positivity wherever he went. His joy was contagious, his kindness was boundless, and his charisma was unforgettable.
Though his time with us was far too short, his legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He leaves behind a world made brighter and better by his presence, and his memory will forever be a source of comfort and inspiration.
