Charles Colonel Barbour

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Thursday, March 13, 2025 in the chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home with Pastor J. Dan Hudson and Pastor J.D. Hudson officiating. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum of Pinecrest Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at the funeral home, prior to the service.

Charles was born in Johnston County on September 7, 1942 to the late Judson Y. Barbour and Pauline Howell Barbour. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Leon “Buck” Barbour.

He had worked as a manager of a convenient store and enjoyed freshwater fishing and gardening and spending time with family, friends and church family.

He is survived by his children; Charles R. Barbour, Samantha Holley, Deborah Perry Monday and Donald R. Perry; 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; brothers and sister, Ray Barbour, Roger Barbour, Leon Barbour (deceased) and Vera Barbour.
