Charles Jerry Murphy, 77, passed away on Tuesday. A memorial service will be held 3:00p.m Friday at McLaurin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lee Marlow officiating. He is survived by his wife, Jan Willis, daughter; Lynn Crockett and her husband, Allen, granddaughter; Caroline, grandson; Joshua, his first wife; Sue M. Waller, sister; Kay Massey, special cousin; Carl Brooks Murphey, special friend; Faye Brinkley, several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends and relatives on Friday one hour prior to the service from 2:00- 3:00pm. While flowers are accepted memorial contributions may also be made to the Archer Lodge Community Center PO Box 1478, Clayton, NC 27528.
