Born in Norfolk, Virginia, he was the son of the late Proctor K. (Pete) Parron and Johnsie Kincaid Parron.
Charles graduated from Elizabeth City High School in 1967, and from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering in 1971. Charlie went to work at Electrical Equipment Company in Raleigh, NC, immediately upon graduation from NCSU. In the ensuing thirty plus years he excelled in sales and management, including a board position.
Both in business and in his personal life, Charlie loved solving problems and was generous in sharing his time and knowledge, technical and otherwise. In retirement he enjoyed fishing and shooting sporting clays. As his Weimaraners participated in more hunting events, his shooting skills were a perfect fit. He was involved in training, handling, and organizing tests and, at his passing, was a director for the Sandhills Pointing Breeds Club.
The ashes of his beloved dog Manfred (2005-2016) will be buried at his feet
