Cristie Ellen Felix

Cristie was born in Johnstown, PA on 12/11/1968. She graduated from Forest Hills High School in 1986 and continued on to receive her associates degree from the Wilma Boyd Travel and Career School in Pittsburgh, PA. Cristie was married to David Felix (of Johnstown, PA) on June 6, 1992. They were married for 32 years and best friends for over 39 years.

Cristie began her career as a reservation's specialist for Sheraton Hotels, which brought her to Raleigh, NC. She transitioned into sales training before settling as VP of Innovations for a San Diego based company specializing in data-driven learning solutions.

Cristie’s greatest love was her family, especially being the best CeCe to her grandson Grayson. She enjoyed trips to the beautiful beaches and mountains of NC, as well as traveling abroad with Dave. She also loved her backyard paradise and spent much of her free time gardening and hosting the best pool parties. In May of 2017, she was diagnosed with a GBM brain tumor, ending her professional career. She began volunteering her time at church and the local YMCA. Her biggest passion was the annual Angels Among Us event that raises funds towards brain tumor research. Together with her husband and daughters, they created the team Cristie’s Crusaders and raised over $60k over the 7 years in attendance.

Cristie is survived by her husband, David; daughters, Kelsie Felix Ammons and Allyson Haley Felix both of Clayton; mother, Betty Fleming Stuver of Davidsville, PA, brother, David Stuver of Ogletown, PA, sister, Sherie Stuver Potchak of Elton, PA, and grandson, Grayson Carter Ammons of Clayton, and other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Byron Stuver of Davidsville, PA.

A memorial service celebrating Cristie's life will be held at 4:00pm on Friday, May 30, 2025 at Christ the King Church 1082 Amelia Church Rd. Clayton, NC. A gathering of family and friends will follow at The Neuse Country Club Birdie Ballroom 921Birkdale Dr. in Clayton from 6-9:00pm.
