Cindy was born in California on February 25, 1979 to Auturon Monteo and the late Vicki Verlene Childres.
What can be said about Cindy other than she was an amazing person! She had the biggest heart of anyone you could know. She was truly one of a kind. She would put everyone else first and had a smile that would light up the room. Her personality was outgoing and fun. She was a practicing Jehovah’s Witness. She had faith in Jehovah and her beliefs were strong.
She is survived by her husband Denis Wood, who had this to say about Cindy:” I was blessed to get to know her and was even more blessed to be able to spend the last 2 1/2 years with her. I got to know her for the beautiful person she was, on the inside. She was truly loved. We were each other's rock, our safe place, our home. Most importantly, she was my best friend. We healed each other from past experiences, that the other one didn’t have anything to do with. Cindy loved to laugh and joke. I could say: This food looks good, then she would go out and buy the stuff to make it for me. When it came to work, she would work her butt off to make sure it was done right. Cindy loved would help others. She was, and is, my better half, and I will always be grateful to have had the time I had with her.
In addition to her father and husband, she is survived by three daughters; several brothers; many cousins; and other family members.
