David Bern Pittman

Born in Wilmington, N.C. on June 17th 1963 , David Graduated from J.T. Hoggard High school in 1981, achieved a degree in electronics at Cape fear Community College and went on to earn a Microsoft Certified Engineer’s degree from Wake Technical College.

He was a tireless worker and selfless, giving and honest soul because of the values instilled in him by his Mother, Jean L.P. Olson, and Father, Jerome G. Pittman and his step Mother Sherry S. Pittman.

He was a loving husband (for 23 years) to Tracy S. Pittman and adoring, proud father to Olivia M.Pittman, 17.

David is survived by many loved ones including Brother James Gary Pittman and wife Belle, nephews Wes and Grayson Pittman (of Raleigh, N.C.) ; Brother Patrick Alan Pittman and wife Nancy and nephews Max and Henry Watson (of Wilmington, N.C).Mother in Law Joyce Strickland and Brother in law Tyrone Szymanowski, his wife Jill and their daughter Amy (of Clayton, N.C.).

Many loving Aunts and Uncles and cousins honor David’s life.

David was a systems analyst and Senior Systems Administrator and Electronic architectural designer at Data General /EMC for 28 years, a drummer, golfer and fisherman who loved to disassemble and reassemble anything that burned gasoline.

He was a dedicated family man and provider and was admired and loved by everyone who knew him.

Visitation will be held at McLaurin Funeral Home 12830 U.S. Highway 70 Business West, Clayton N.C. 27520 (910) 553-7143 on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 from 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. And services will be held at 7:00 P.M. immediately following Visitation.
