A native of Charleston, WV, Dennie was born December 26, 1942 to the late Henry and Kathleen Booth. He was a great husband, father, and “Pops” and will be greatly missed. His sense of humor made everyone’s heart smile and helped him to make a huge impact on everyone he touched.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Booth; children, Kelli Popp and husband, Steve, Terri Gilly and husband, Paul, D.R. Booth, and Kim Pounds and fiancé, J.D. Howell; grandchildren, Megan and Erika Popp, Cody and Emily Pounds, and Natalya and Cohen Booth; brother, Larry Booth; sister in law, Debbie Booth; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Dennie was predeceased by two brothers, Eugene and Jim Booth.
A celebration of his life will be Thursday, July 23, 2015 at 2pm in the McLaurin Funeral Home Chapel, 12830 US HWY 70 Business West, Clayton, NC 27520. The family will receive friends from 1-2pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Pinecrest Memorial Park Mausoleum.
