Don was born in the Orleans Parish of Louisiana on January 18, 1958 to the late Charles Archer and the late Wanda Jean Moore Archer.
He was previously employed with Carolina Power and Light for over 25 years.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Cynthia “Cindi” Gilmer Archer; children, Erin Archer-Howell and her husband Bradley, Jason Archer and his wife Kristie; grandchildren, Carmen, Charles, Garrett, and Killian; brother Ron Archer.
