A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, September 18, 2025 at Pinecrest Memorial Park with Reverend Lloyd Hargis officiating.
He was born in Johnston County on July 18, 1948 to the late George Lucas Boyette and the late Nina Elizabeth Blackman Boyette. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers, James Earl Boyette and Gary Steve Boyette.
Donnie was a simple living man who truly loved the outdoors. Rarely would you fine him inside unless a good western was playing. He loved driving around seeing the countryside scenery or driving 50 plus miles to a favorite country diner. He loved raising cows, growing a garden, fishing and was an avid boater. Donnie enjoyed being around family, cooking outside and making homemade banana ice cream.
He is survived by his cousins.
