Doris Ann Strider Council

Doris was born in Raleigh, North Carolina to Emily Ann Theresa Jones Strider and the late David Strider. In addition to her father, she was proceeded in death by her brother Davie Strider.

She retired from the Library Department of NC State University.

Doris was a devoted Christian who touched the hearts of many with her faith and kindness. She loved spending time expressing her creativity through watercolor painting, a passion that brought her joy and allowed her to share her beautiful art with others.

Doris also volunteered in her local community teaching art and creativity to local youth in her retirement.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her son, Daryl Council Jr. and his wife Heather; their son Drayden Council; her only grandchild, her Sister Jane Anna Strider, and her brother Frank Davis Strider.

A Celebration of Doris’s Life will be held at a later date; she will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.
