Smithfield, NC Mrs. Dorothy Adams Lancaster, 91, of Smithfield died Friday, June 26, 2015 at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. She was born January 12, 1924 in Harnett County, daughter of the late Carson and Annie Holt Adams. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, David H. Lee, her second husband, James “J.D.” Lancaster, and several brothers and sisters, including her twin sister, Doris. A funeral service will be held Monday June 29, 2015 at 3:00 P.M. in the McLaurin Funeral Home Chapel in Clayton with Rev. Tommy Pierce officiating. Burial will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens. She is survived by four daughters, Louise Abbott and Ray Ward of Pine Level, Betty and Dexter Justice of Four Oaks, Judy and Donnie Massey of Currie, and Jeanette and Ricky Holland of Selma, four step-children, Carol, Beth, Danielle, and Jay, eleven grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Monday from 2:00 – 3:00 P.M. at McLaurin Funeral Home.
