Faye Stephenson

GARNER – Clara Faye Langdon Stephenson, age 79, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 14, 2021, surrounded by her family, at her residence.

A Funeral Service to celebrate her life will be held at The Way of Life Baptist Church, Clayton, NC of which she was a longtime member, with Pastor Scott Tucker officiating. Burial will follow at White Memorial Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Willow Springs, NC. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the church, prior to the service.

Faye was born April 10, 1942 in Johnston County to the late Willis Holton Langdon and the late Clara Beasley Langdon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Wade Stephenson, and son, Jason Boyd Stephenson.

She enjoyed reading her bible, spending time with family, watching the Golden Girls, and having Sunday afternoon Percy Flowers hotdogs with her mother.

She is survived by her children, Mitchell Stephenson (Lorna), Connie Godwin (Lee), Chris Stephenson (Robin); Stanley Stephenson (Barbara) and Patrick Stephenson; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sisters and brother, Shirley Baldwin (Ron), Julia Arthur (JB), and Tyra Langdon (Wendy).
