Garry Marshall Pettigrew, age 75, of Selma NC, died peacefully in his sleep on June 5, 2026, after a brave struggle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tex and Florence Pettigrew, and his brother Crisp.
He leaves behind a cherished daughter and son in law Sara and Matt Kelley, and the light of Garry's life for the past four years, his grandson Alex.
He is also survived by his ex wife and beloved friend Celine Pettigrew. His many siblings Jackie Futrell, Sandy Roberson, Ricky Pettigrew, Randy Pettigrew, Sherr Jones, Jan Wall, Beth Campbell, and Kim Coleman, plus many nephews and nieces, most notably his nephew and close friend, Mark Pettigrew.
Garry will be remembered as a great neighbor and as a devoted friend to a large number of people, including his brother-in-law Gene and his North Trail neighborhood family all of whom will miss him dearly.
Garry was honest, loving, honorable, and Kind.
