Gerry White Powell, the daughter of the late Howard Johnson and Gladys Phillips passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at the age of 84. The funeral service will be held Sunday in the Chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home with Rev. Darrell Sauls officiating, burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery. A lifelong resident of Clayton and a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church, is survived by her son; Steve White and his wife Tricia, daughter; Jackie Cobb and her husband David, of Red Lodge, MT, sisters; Barbara Stevens and husband Jesse, Dorothy Parrish, grandchildren; Parker White and wife Tricia, Erin Lee and husband Jonathan, great grandchildren; Ava, Haley, Max and Caleb, her caregiver; Vicky Lindblom. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband; Tommy White, her second husband; Linwood Powell and a brother Billy Johnson.
