Matt and I were friends as teenagers in Augusta, Georgia during the 1960s. He loved to play poker, and was good at it. I have wonderful memories of Matt and our mutual friend Wayne Daniel (who recently passed away)  playing at Matt's house and elsewhere. Matt was a smart, kind, and fun loving guy. I miss him. May he rest in peace.

I am so sorry to learn of Matt's passing.  Matt and Diane were our next door neighbors in Inman Park.  They were the most kind people  and we enjoyed living next to them years ago.  I offer my deepest sympathies to the family.

It saddens me that Matt has passed. He  was my manager and friend at Grifols from 2008-2017.   During that time he mentored me. He taught me so much about finance and helped me when i was in need of figuring out a complex issue.  When I was rambling on, he would put his hand up and say "STOP, just STOP". I disliked like, but now i laugh at it. :).   He helped me get where i am today in my career and i will always cherish those memories and the knowledge he passed on to me. 
Matt, may you rest in peace and have no more pain.

Please accept my condolences.  I am so sorry to hear of Matt's passing.  We worked on many projects together over the years while he was employed with our company.  I am saddened by the news.  

It’s so hard for all of us who were lucky enough to meet and interact with Matt to accept his lost.

I was Matt’s boss from 2015 till his retirement. I remember him as a nice guy who give comfort to those surrounding him.

I am so sorry to hear about Matt. I lost touch with him a while after he retired from Grifols. He was my manager and I enjoyed keeping up with him after he retired but knew he was planning to move to another state at some point. Condolences and comfort to the family, his mother, son and granddaughter.

I am sorry to hear of Matt's passing. We went to Garrett Elementary together and he lived a few doors down the street from me. He had a lovely mother. Keeping your family in prayer. 

I knew Matt and his mom quite well when we were at Richmond Academy together. We stayed in touch a bit during college but then lost track until our mutual pal, Wayne Daniel, connected us again. It was all email, which of course didn't exist when we were in school together, but it was the same old Matt I remember -- sharp, humorous, and kind. I will miss him very much. Matt and I attended Garrett Elementary School in Augusta, GA. When we were in seventh grade, we took turns reading scripture at the beginning of the day before we said the Lord's prayer and the pledge (yes, in a public school). I remember Matt reading scripture quite a few days in a row - long scripture, which was different from a verse or two that was usually read -   and on the last day he asked the class if we knew what he had finished reading. He then proudly told us it was the Sermon on the Mount. Why on earth did I remember that particular time all these years? It obviously had an impact on me and I wanted to share this with the family as memories do help to provide comfort as you experience loss.
