Dear Bonnie and Family,

Nancy and I wish we could be there with you and the family today to help support you through this difficult time. You were such a great support to me when we worked at Duke together. Meeting Bobby at the employee function at our home for the Duke staff that Bobby did all the barbecue for is a memory I'll never forget. Here is me "the new guy from Chicago transplanted down to Durham, NC" was a real challenge, at first, but meeting you, and then Bobby who cooked up a storm of food that day for the staff in our driveway was truly wonderful. He and I talked, laughed and bonded immediately. His brisket would give my late grandma a run for her money I remember telling him! In Yiddish the word is "mensch." It means a righteous person and that was Bobby. Sending love to you and the family. Please take care.

Bonnie , Amber Jeff and families,
You are in our thoughts and prayers so sorry about Bobby. We can't say enough he was our BFF, great guy with a wonderful and funny sense of humor, heart of gold, always liked to pick on people but loved everyone of us and we loved him back. He was our travel buddy for long trips or days trips. So many fun times and wonderful memories to go along with it. Bobby in our hearts forever. We will miss him more than you know.

We love all of you and will be there for you...

Nancy and Lad
