James Joseph McDevitt, III, age 85, passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2025 surrounded by his family. James was born in Philadelphia, PA on May 14, 1940, to the late James J. and Kathryn Ellwanger McDevitt. A graduate of Lincoln High School in Philadelphia, James enlisted the US Marine Corp and later worked as a Press Printer before retiring in North Carolina.
He is survived by his son, James McDevitt, IV and a brother, Jerrold Jay McDevitt. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Hagan McDevitt.
